Steel Scrap Collection - Buyer
The steel scrap recycling process is not as straightforward as it may seem. It starts with the collection of the steel scraps and ends with the recycling of those scraps. The process can be broken down into three main stages: sorting, processing, and shipping.
Collection: Steel scrap collectors will go to a customer’s property to collect all of their usable steel scrap. They will then sort out any unusable pieces and load up what they collected onto their truck or train car for transport to a processing facility.
Processing: The next step in the recycling process is processing which includes breaking down the collected steel into smaller pieces and removing any other materials that may have been mixed in with it such as dirt or sand. This is done by using a shear-press machine which crushes the metal
